Anna is back – wiser and stronger, juggling her life as single mum and hard core police officer, but the crimes she has to face are tougher than ever.

Finally Anna steps into her father’s footprints and becomes a criminal investigator, which brings her into many dangerous and challenging situations. Before she even gets her new badge, a colleague is found murdered in a swamp. In a case where some officers have taken the law into their own hands, Anna ends up facing gunpoint with the killer.

Anna’s career and personal life reaches new highs and lows, as she is faced with some very dramatic and difficult cases, including honour killing by the Pakistani mafia and going under cover in a tough women’s prison to break a drug ring, assisted by her ex-colleague Mikala. Her intense love affair with Daniel, Chief of Swedish police’s SWAT team, comes to a definite end as he reveals his true self as a man who will stop at nothing in order to get what he wants.

Being charged with manslaughter – looking at six years in prison – Anna’s career as well as her personal life hits rock bottom. But when the going gets tough – Anna gets tougher.
