ADORA - TWO MOTHERS

This documentray focuses on two families: the Amars, whose sons are accused of selling ammunition to Palestinian terrorists, and the Shefis, whose five-year-old daughter was shot by Palestinian terrorists.

ADORA - TWO MOTHERS

Living as neighbors, it’s the mothers – Shiri Shefi and Jacquelyn Amar – who steer the narrative, offering an intimate look at the complexities of settler life and the disintegration of a community. Shiri and Jacqueline allowed following them on their conflict-ridden journeys and crises; their daily life; learning to cope with grief, pain and alienation; visits to prisons and visits to cemeteries.

Alongside these personal stories, we follow the process of deterioration and the struggle for survival of a community that is no longer as united and full of vitality as it used to be. We watch as this small settlement, established as a strategic stronghold on the Israeli map, undergoes profound social, ideological and emotional disintegration.
