DINNER FOR DUMMIES

Even Mummy's boy can become a cook!

DINNER FOR DUMMIES

Dinner for Dummies is a new factual entertainment format where two wonderful but strict teachers of home economics provide first food-aid to culinary challenged individuals whose clueless antics in the kitchen have victimized family and friends for years.

In the programme each participant will first be commanded to prepare a test dinner, which is designed to expose his or her cooking skills – or, as it often happens, utter and complete lack thereof.

Based on the test dinner results, the teachers now implement a crash-course apprenticeship, designed to lick each participant into basic culinary shape. It’s hard work but the learning process is further aided by a kitchen inspection, where drawers and cupboards are thoroughly investigated and where useless knifes, past-due food items and over-the-hill pots and pans are mercilessly thrown out and exchanged for new, functional utensils – thus optimizing the kitchen workspace.

Dinner for Dummies culminates with the exam dinner, an exciting race-against-the-clock, where the participant, now for the first time holding basic cooking skills, is challenged to prepare a delicious dinner for family or friends. The results of this dinner are then judged harshly but fairly by the teachers and finally a diploma with grade is handed out – cook or clown? It’s excitement up until the very last minute!
